User Manual infra CONVERT > Functions > Charactersitics
You can use the Duplicate and Re-stamp functions to create copies of a feature with an own stamp. A characteristic with the same properties is created, which can then be edited independently (unlike when working with the characteristic property “Count”, see note below). Duplicated characteristics remain linked by the stamp number, the stamp number is given an index (“.1”, “.2” etc.) and treated as a group when renumbering. In addition, the characteristic properties indicate that it is a duplicated characteristic. A characteristic created by re-stamping is completely independent of the original characteristic.
Note The function Re-stamp is available from program version 1.3.2.0.
Note If you want to ensure that characteristic properties cannot be changed independently of each other, we recommend that you work with the characteristic property “Count”. Make sure that the setting “Create individual characteristics from dimensions with count” is selected, see “Settings > Settings > “Dimensions with details of repetitions” group“. Depending on the number of repetitions, a corresponding number of individual characteristics are output during the test plan export.
